With an ancient history, the Kapinawas are guardians of ancestral knowledge, traditions, and a deep relationship with the nature of the “sertao”, a semi-arid inland region of Northeastern Brazil, whose climate is hot and very dry, with irregular rains that often lead to droughts.
Kapinawas live in a semi-arid region and maintain a rich cultural life, including performing the Toré dance, which blends African rhythms with sacred elements in caves considered ancestral dwelling places.
In addition to honoring their ancestors and preserving old rituals, they also practice Catholic traditions, especially honoring Saint Sebastian.
They require greater government attention to access more opportunities in education and health.
Pray for God to break religious traditions and bring light to their hearts.Pray for open hearts and well-prepared disciples who are willing to share the gospel boldly to this people.Pray for the Holy Spirit to bless the Kapinawas in every way.
